Ben Bellamy – Belper North
Town and Borough
Ben works full time as a Negotiations Officer for trade union Prospect, and is a former deputy leader of the Borough Council.
Having been the Cabinet member for regeneration, he led the opposition to the tories ‘greenbelt’ local plan, and delivered the Swiss Tea Rooms at Belper River Gardens .
Throughout Covid-19 he was responsible for supporting businesses across the Borough.
In his spare time he enjoys walks with the family, metal detecting and searching for and preparing jurassic fossils.

Fay Atkinson – Belper East
Town and Borough
Fay grew up and went to school in Belper.
She worked for 30 years delivering domestic abuse services.
Since election to Amber Valley 5 years ago she has been the cabinet and shadow member for community safety.
She worked hard with the community and borough council officers to deliver the beautiful new play area at 3 Corner Rec with accessibility and creative play at its heart .
Fay also co-ordinates the Belper and Milford Community Speed-watch which has 27 roads assessed to deliver sessions on.
Away from council duties she walks, runs and swims outdoors, last year completing the 200 mile Peak District Boundary walk and the 184 mile cycle route, the Hebridean Way.
